Ventana to me has a long mid stage and not much of an opening, the pepper/lavender/star anise is very prominent at this point.

Opening is too harsh so better to not smell closely because it will numb your smell senses for sure. Overall what comes to Ventana it tries hard to be Sauvage but lacking the pepper notes it falls short and doesn't quite get there unfortunately. It's sweetish and pretty round, it doesn't have neither the sharp bergamot nor the strong black pepper with ambroxan opening blast that is a key characteristic of Sauvage EdT.
